E&L offer specialist possessions insurance for students, covering the contents of both halls of residence and privately rented accommodation. You pay a basic monthly premium based on the value of your possessions to cover them against damage and theft, and you can opt to pay a bit extra to extend your cover to bikes, computers, and leaving your possessions over academic holidays. They'll also insure you against a wide variety of risks including public liability, personal accident, fraudulent use of your credit card, and costs or inconveniences arising from accidents such as missing exams or being forced to withdraw from a course.
You can get insured straight away through E&L's website - just click through to the 'Instant Cover' section and fill in the online form giving details of the cover you're looking for, along with your contact and payment information. Queries can be directed by phone, fax or email, and there are separate helplines for existing customers covering customer services, renewals, claims and cancellations.
